Welcome to West Pine Middle School’s musical theater production of The Sound of Music, G2K!
Presenting a show of this caliber requires an army of parent volunteers due to the vast amount of help that is required. From costumes to makeup, prop collection to set building, painting, publicity, logistics, printing, and much more...it could not all be done without the help of many, many parents! The student’s of West Pine Middle School’s Musical Theater Program are extremely fortunate to be supported by such an extraordinarily committed and devoted team of parents who always step up and support their children’s artistic endeavors. Thank you parents!
The community network and organizational support is always outstanding! We are always fortunate to have the support of our local radio stations and news papers who pull together to publicize the many fantastic things that go on behind the scenes to prepare for our show; Mary McKeithan of Showboat Costumes and Collectibles; David Godsey of Extra Mile Audio; Chaz Howe of Double C Entertainment; Village Printers (posters and programs)….and the list goes on.
In short, I applaud all who are working together to make this production possible. The students in the West Pine Musical Theater Company work tirelessly and passionately to produce the highest quality performances. Our students are inspiring to witness and have an incredible depth of individual and collective talent. Most of all, they are vibrant and good-hearted students who are all thrilled to perform for you!
Thank you to all who are interested in being a part of our show - whether behind the scenes, onstage, in the audience, or through your support and attendance tonight. -Torin Wright, West Pine Choral/Musical Theater Director
